I would rather have something bolt it, I don't want to be scavenging junk yards for taurus fans and relays. With this, it runs based on the coolant temp sensor like oem cars do.

It does fit beautifully, and also has a perfect space left over for a power steering/engine oil/trans cooler I swear It seems designed to fit so nicely do they fit together

I was also able to add a large but thin auto trans cooler in between the ac condenser and radiator part# DERALE 13504 Series 8000 Transmission Cooler Kit: 22500 GVW

Yeah Ive got it on my 1991 coupe, I like it very much, also have DC controls var fan controller. I am actually right now in the middle of wiring up the option to over-ride the auto control with adding ON/AUTO switch

was able to do my upgrades wiring switches and circuit breaker without drilling any holes. Haa ha I guess im glad there are so many holes in the engine compartment, I am currently wiring up my 3g alternator and added distribution blocks one in pass side by the strut-tower sheetmetal and one in the dirver side strut tower... and didnt have to drill any holes again!

Thanks for the info! What exactly are you using the DC controller for? Are you leaving the "auto" and just also being able to turn it on when you want?

Got a link to DC Controller? I tried and their website is down I think, unless I have the wrong one.

Oh yea, do you think the flexalight combo is worth the money?

hmmmmmm thats weird. their default page (the one the server initially serves to your web browser turns out being "index.htm" so if you just type http://www.dccontrol.com its the same as index.htm and that page just has an email address and "now serving"

I looked in google for other pages on their site and found

This is a GREAT controller. It will help the car stay at the temp you wan instead of going up to a set point turing on 100% fan, then shutting fan off at set point #2

With the unit you may select a few different "target temps" that the controller will then work to maintain thru varying the fan speed. It is also supposed to make the fan motor last longer

YES I really like the flexalite, its really slick and works very well with the DC controls unit. My cooling package is pretty sweet and YES Ive been just running the system on AUTO after selecting my target temp, but I want to be able to turn it 100% on with a switch, which the controller supports, you also may select an option to leave the fan on for (you select time) after you turn the car off.

DCC controllers are the best but he posted on the corral and a few other sites saying he was backed up and only taking orders from long time members on those sites(this place wasnt included)

If you would rather not do any rigging, want a direct drop in, & dont mind spending the money. I see nothing wrong with that setup. My view & from what i see a few other's was just to save you some cash for a very very effective setup.

If you don't mind paying for it, I'd say yeah that kit looks good. I've heard a few bad things about black magic fans, but I've heard a whole lot of good things about them too. As long as it doesn't go through any abuse (debris, ect...) I think that kit would work good.

Wow, that looks like the way to go. A few quick questions. Which clocking position do I want for a 89 stang? I assume the 7 pivot? And as far as the wiring harness, I know the one end goes to the alternator, but where does the other end (1 wire) hook to? I have 2 conectors with 2 wires each going to my stock 2G.
