check all your hoses. including the one on the firewall for the heater core. i had one of those bust on me once. and i would say spend a few extra bucks and get yourself a failsafe thermostat just incase.

I would lean towards a Motorcraft t-stat. I think they are better, and have the bleed valve to bleed more air out as you are filling it back up. It's little things like that which make it all that much more valuable. My $0.02.

if the simple fixes dont work, you couldpossibly be looking at a radiator. 22 years of mineral deposits on the inside of the tubing canrestrict flow. If that is the case, you could run with NO t-stat and it would still overheat. Kinda sucks putting money into things that dont actually increase performance, but a necessary evil sometimes. Look at it like insurance: it'll help keep all the goodies you've installed from being a waste of money. I had to do this twice on other cars and IIRC they came from Radiator Express online.

hang on a second.
If your trans is leaking from the back.. it could be the tailshaft seal.. but in my case, mine was leaking when i would be getting into it. It would up being the tialshaft bushing. and, it wore out my driveshaft yolk too. to, i had to put another one in and get a new driveshaft yolk just makesure you check the bushing. it could be bad.

i would say no, the shroud acts as a wind tunnel and directs most of the air straight ahead to the motor.

either the guy couldnt drive for crap, didnt have crap for traction,or it was a v6.
there is NO way,any decently running lt1 would be taken by your car, period.

yeah people get serious about **** and start sounding like dicks..... but no offense, that is pretty true. and i am speaking from experience, not word of mouth. My 96 z28 6 speed stock, would beat mustangs left and right, 5.0 or 4.6 <excluding cobra S/C ........... oh well, if you beat him you beat him. end of story! haha... its not ur fault if his cars running ****ty, couldnt get traction or cant drive right!?
