Default RE: Core Support Damage

ReasonI didnt take it to a body shop because one guy wanted like 3000 another wanted 4k.....its hard to get out of a good body shop for less than 2500 no matter what your doing....it had a lil damage behind the radiator support which I so kindly fixed with wratchet straps...LOL....unless you have some hacks do it.....which would probably turn out a lil better than the job I did....I just didnt want to spend money on it...I fixed it for $100....still straight just a lil nasty....haha....plus I wouldnt be able to get my money back out of it....so Ima just beat on it

Yeah, a radiator support at a shop pays 5-6 hours of labor for just the suport, not including all the detrim of the bumper, lights, air and water, a/c lines etc. All in all avg about 13 hours at like 50 bucks an hour, not including paint, paint laborand parts. And since you popped it right in the front you probably need a hood, and they probably wrote to blend the fenders etc. 3k, 4k sounds like a shop estimate. hahahaha.

Yeah the sheetmetal is paper thin, I have written more estimates than I can count and have never used just a used support. Clips yes, support only no.

If it fits, just step on the gas and forget it!

Its not as easy as it looks and you need to get the entire support, not just the outer (I already made that mistake). There are tons of spot welds also.
