Default Intake-throttle body questions

When the intake manifolds tb opening is 70mm, do i need to get a 70mm tb? i was going to stick with a 65mm becuase im not planning on any type of forced induction, just h/c/i.

Its most likely best to match the opening size.
I am going with 65mm because its sized to the 1993 cobra replica on my mild 5.0 build
If my Intake opening was 70mm like many of the after market units out there I would go 70[&:]

If you already have one or can get one of the two sizes for a really good price (a high quality one) get that one

It would be fine running a 65mm but if you're planning on a h/c/i you should probably go with a 70mm anyway You usually want to avoid a TB thats larger than the intake b/c then the air is hitting a wall...

The opening diameter has nothing to do w/ what size TB you should run. Just b/c my intake is 70 or 75mm, doesn't mean I should run that size TB. If you have done an H/C/I swap, 70 should be okay. If not, stick w/ the 65mm.

I'm running a set of worked over E7's, E cam, and the TFS street heat intake w/ a 65mm FRPP TB on my rebuilt 306. I'd look at a 70 if I had better heads, but it wouldn't gain me anything w/ my setup.

so you haven't bought a mad yet? i'd go with the 76 mm then...
i don't see why not.
as long as the maf is bigger than the tb you should be good.
