RE: wow........ $7000 dollar engine came apart on me.
by my calculations i can do 59 mph in 1st at 7k rpm, and i figure when i downshifted and goosed it right at about 4k rpm. Whats wrong with that? Wait i remember the pics from my 1st post....[:@]

how about you build that motor and run it n/a? it would still be making a hellofa lot of power and it wouldnt kill itself. plus, you'd be able to spray it at the track once in a while without sending a piston into the pavement

why not drop in a stock 289 while iam at it? lol, jk. i dunno i was SO close to grabbing 8's, trying to get all my traction issues solved, if i had the traction solved it would be mid 8's iam 99% sure. Man HP is like crack its addicting, and your telling me to cut back? never, lol. I dunno how iam going to rebuild it, high compression 445 with a BIG shot, same setup i had before, low compression 445 with twin t-70's ot t-76's, i just dont know. financially it will be at least 3-4 months before i can go any route reliably so i have some time to ponder. i mean hell i dunno if the block or heads are any good yet, and if thats the case it means i will be starting over from the ground up literally.

My AEM fuel injection computer has a built in "traction control" system
that governs engine power to maintain traction
AEM with turbos could dial in boost control with an electronic wastegate controller
to help with traction. Bring in the amount of boost you want when you want it.
Gotta get some turbos. I dont think you would even need twin 70's
I bet twin 66's would spool nice and feed 1200+rwhp all day long.
Check out this guys build. VERY similar to your engines specs but with twin 88mm turbos.
900rwhp at 11psi, 1200rwhp at 17psi
Run higher compressions with lower boost levels for same power.

SInce you know how to work on vehicles......contractors are hiring all the time for mechanics. Could get that car up and running in 1 to 2 months. Just an idea.

i love the thought of twin t-70's or t-76's, get a 4.1 inch crank for 445 CI if i remember of the top of my head along with a 225 shot to spool them.

have you considered some CHI heads since your doing all this ***** out work? i mean, I would pretty much guarantee they will make more power than the AFR's even when ported. anything you can do to make the same power without boosting the crap outta the motor and you'll have something that wont be exploding so fast.
