thank you. i am very uneducated about cars as you can tell. iam dead set on getting a cam and intake but am on a budget because i just spent alot of money on my eclipse. i want acam and intake because im getting them for christmas and its jusat money i dont have to spend, im planning on gettin gheads and supercharger and everything i need to support the mods. what cam do you suggest getting? so the typhoon intake is a good intake? i heard it was the same intake as the edelbrock just with out the name. i have roller rockers by the way i got them but they are not on will that help me out some

Here's the kit I bought.
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku

Here's the cam it comes with.
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...t=TFS-51402000

Here is a list of each part that comes in the kit.

This should help you get in the ball park with the right cam size for what you want.

Unfortunately $500 isn't goint to go far. An intake is going to eat up most of your budget. I would concentrate on other bolt-ons first. Mass air meter, throttle body, pullies, electric fan, and gears. If you can't put the cam in yourself, $500 won't get you a cam, supporting partsand installation.

and dimes right about power, you cant get much power gains from just the intake and no heads. because if you change all the stuff up top to suck more air your heads are still allowing the same throught as they were before so its really pointless. you must get bigger cc heads to match the topso everything equals out from top to bottom. Thats what im about to do, buy some afr heads 185cc.
