use a 5/8 swivel/universal spark plug socket and long extensions and a rachet and you should be able to get to most...you may have to move the air injection stuff out of the way to access the ones on the passanger side..but it's doable

Well I got another 3 done today. I just have the back one on each side to get now. In response to the above posts about time, I agree it is not that hard. My main problem is getting the plugs to seat. It is really difficult to get the plugs to thread into the holes properly and I am being very cautious to avoid cross threading. It is pretty frustrating getting these stupid things to thread in, not sure why they are giving me problems. must be all the rust around the area.
On the smog equipment can I undo those hoses? Is there any fluid or anything running through those lines?

shibby if you did it in 15min id like to shake ur hand. i was never able to do it in that time

It actually could be worse. Chevy made a car in the 80's (Monza) that the motor needed to be lifted several inches (unbolted mounts) to change the plugs.
I recently did my 2001 Blazer (V6) that took me 6 hours to change the plugs and wires. I resorted to removing the front wheels and used long extensions thru the wheel well. Chevy engineers were even so smart they put one plug directly behind the steering shaft. I think my dogs learned a few new words on that one.

hey not sure if ur having problems gettin ur hand down to get the plug in the hole..buta way ive always used is take a piece of real small rubber tubing that u can slide over just the end of the plug..and i mean small like the size of a straw...take that stick the plug in then get the plug to the hole n u can turn the tubing from a long way away from the hole and it will turn the plug...i did this on a 4 cyl ranger for someone and without it i would have had to take the upper intake off cuz that motor is a b*tch to change plugs...stupid azz 8 plugs for a 4cyl...i hated doin that n will never do it again lol..
