Default TPS adj.

Hi, my stang idles a bit high (900-1000). The other day I temporarily set the idle down by turning the throttle plate screw 2 turns out. To make sertain everything is set to factory adjustements, how far is the throttle plate supposed to be open at idle, and what is the TPS voltage supposed to be at idle. I assume the TPS is adjusted by lossening the two screws and turning the unit a bit. I will adjust this when I get the scanner hooked up to it on monday. The car is a 1986 GT.

Also, will running straight pipe exhaust hurt my performance and fuel economy?

Last Question, I read an AOD to T5 swap article that delt with 87-?? year stangs only, is there a major difference between '86 and '87 mustangs?

Thanks

Default RE: TPS adj.

Maybe rephrasing the question would help. How do you adjust the idle speed on an air density car? I need to know by tomorrow.

Thanks
