and what does it smell like? if it smells "burned" it likely has been too hot a few too many times.

Check the level of tranny fluid to to see if you have enought because to little in there can alos cause it to slip. If you put a new filter in i would have a shop hook a machine up and just flush the whole thing.

yeah i put fluid in it and its still doing it i think im gona put a new filter in and drain the tranny oil and flush the coolant and refill it too if its still doing it my best bet is my tranny is burnt up

check to make sure the TV cable is properly connected to the throtlle linkage at the throttle body as this controls the internal pressure in the tranny and therefore where it shifts. there is a little plastic bushing that holds the TV cable onto the linkage and it's prone to breaking or falling out. I would check this first before I messed with the tranny.
