I saw an article in 5.0 Mustang where they were testing different roller rockers and they did just this for one of the dyno runsand picked up something like 5-10 hp over all 1.6 or all 1.7s. People say that our engines are a tad biased to the exhaust side and I guess this shows it.

If you really want to fly, then get a set of Trick Flow heads and put Chevrolet 1.5 roller rockers in it. Im using this for my Pure Street Combo. It puts less stress on the valvetrain for longer life and also allows for higher RPM. One of the reasons to do it is it lets you run a bigger cam profile (we are held to .500 lift on hyd. roller cams). Not a cheap thing to do, but definately worth it. Harland Sharp makes a kit for around 399 (Stud) and 1099 (shaft) mounted applications.

1.5's FTL

splitting 1.7's with someone who already has 1.6's or vice verse FTW

I dont get it, the exhaust is so bad on the ford small block, why not put the 1.7 on the intake side? Do like the bbf cams do, they favor the intake cause the intake is soo much better. if it were me I would put 1.7's on the intake and 1.6's on the exhaust

seems like to me it would just be cheaper to put the proper cam in the car instead of having more lift to or the other
