Some guy in AOL Car Chat tried to tell me that he was launching at 5K rpm on an LX with just an x-pipe, exhaust, and slicks and getting 13.1...<IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0">

what do stock sunfire GT's get cause my freind thinks his 97 sunfire gt ( not turbo) can smoke my 86 mustang 5.0 gt in the 1/4 and on street that isnt possible is it. He has nothing done to his car i have headers and flowmaster exhaust.

*L*dont ever let him tell u that sunfire is "fast." he will NEVER beat u even if u miss a gear...and if he does, u better learn how to drive or put some money into ur car cuz u got one of the "slow ones" lol.and as forthe guy sayin he runs 13.1...no f**kin way, he would drop his drive-shaft out of his car SO fast that he wouldnt even make it to the 60 foot mark. who runs true slick's on a stock 5.0 and dumps it from 5000 anyways? wut a f**ktard. if he starts talkin some s**t...tell him to come on here, we'll let him know wuts up <IMG src=smileys/smiley7.gif border="0">

i find that VERY hard to believe but i will accept the fact that it is possible i guess...funny thing is, SLICKS ARE ILLEGAL ON THE STREET soi dont givea s**t wut people are runnin at the track on slicks, i give more respect to the people who pull good times on drag radials and street tires...and the 11.97 on juice...how many shafts has he dropped? i got a buddy with an F-150 with a 302 sprayin 150 shot and he drops his s**t all the time with slicks...and hes runnin about a 12.50 on the gas. i just dont see how hes runnin slicks with stock rear-end, clutch, and everything else for that matter. maybe my 5.0 is made better than i thought stock lol</P>
