Volt Meter

Hey all, I am trying to check my TPS and I dont know what setting to put my volt meter on. Can someone help me out, I know it has to be set to .98-.99 just dont know which setting to be on.

Okay, I did DCV and it read .81 ... When I changed it at all to like .92 the RPM's would shoot to like 1500 RPM.. What is the deal? I set it back to .81 and it idles at 1k RPM.. What should I do now? I want to get it to .98 or what ever it is supposed to be at, but if I get there it would be idleing at like 2,000 RPM and that can't be right.. Help ME PLEASE!

your no surpose to have the engine running just in the on position

Yeah I figured out that that was my problem. I will do it again tonight. I feel so dumb...LOL Thanks a lot for all your help, you are a big help on these forums stanglx.....
