I dont think they mean low revving but NOT THAT HIGH! a stock 5.0 makes its power from 5600-6200 rpm. Thats low compared to 7500. AFR 185's are just about overkill on a stock motor.

It dosent have a AFR rev-kit. I miss wrote that. It has the Anderson #51018 hi-rev springs. Same springs NMRA pure street guys use. Awesome springs ! they claim 8200 rpms with no valve or lifter float. Thats true.

I was out on road a couple nights ago testing my car for race season. I happened to see just how high this engine could rev with a near-stock valvetrain. After doing a burnout I tached it out, bouncing off the rev limiter at 7500 rpms. The engine is a near stock 302 bottom end with a custom lunati cam with 250 duration @0.050, 605 lift. untouched afr 185s with AFR hi-rev springs. trickflow r intake & more.

I heard AFR heads are having alot of problems with dropping valves at low rpms (like 6000-6500). Is this true? Should I have any worry of dropping a valve with these heads.
No but you need to upgrade the studs..like rbarn said.. I too broke one not even trying...and I upgraded to arp ones and no problem since I had a stout bottom end on my 306 and took it close to 7000 regularly and had a xe282 hr cam and it maxed at about 6800 to 6900..not one problem...upgrade your rocker studs and on a stock bottom end I wouldn't spin it that high without forged rods and arp rod bolts and a stud girdle..all of which I had

Rev Limiter is removed.
or how about the fact that a 5.0 makes PEAK power between 3-4000 RPMS

and

the Stock bottom end will not support that kinda abuse much longer, surprised you didnt throw a rod

they are listed as chevy 3/8 ones in the catalog and are slightly longer so that the ford roller rocker poly locks engauge more threads and don't break the tips off..that is the issue with the stock afr ones
