When I bought my 94GT 3 years ago, it had the same problem. My fix was cleaning the MAF and adjusting the TPS (was way out of range). It woke it up big time.

I also found something out about the clogged up fuel filter later on. I put a fuel pressure gage on the S vlv in the engine compartment. When I ran it up it only showed normal drop in fuel pressure. I had to run the gage to the cockpit to see what it was doing under load. BINGO!!!!!!! It was showing massive fuel pressure loss under load, no ***** after 32k.

No, haven't tried that. I have one left over from my fox body providing they are the same. Where is it and how do I change it? Has that seriously been the cause of a many peoples troubles?

That can definately cause it, I would still look into a vacuum leak, these cars can real pretty bad with a vaccum leak also. Change youe fuel filter first.

Yes it could very well be your fuel filter. If it is clogged or stail and needs to be replaced your car will most probably run like ****. In fact in many cases including mine it will do exactly what your talking about, how your rpm's take for ever to clime. Anyway, hopefully somebody can chime in with some help on how to replace it. It is not difficult but there is a special tool that is "supposed" to be used, whether you have to use it or not I can't remember. And it is located underneither the car, I believe its rite undernieth one of your doors if I'm not getting confused with my truck.

I have a '93 GT...My brother replaced the fuel filter for me, while I was out running to the parts store in about five minutes. On the fox cars,I believe the same for the SN's it is right in front of the gas tank (right in the center). Don't believe you need any special tools, and it really did take five minutes.

Oh, and get a new one, they are like nine bucks. It is not worth reusing an old one...

Cool. I will have to look for it. The one I have is new, just left over from all the parts I had for it.

If/When you replace it. Let us, or at least me, know if it helped. I am curious to know if that did that trick.

haha, well theres a few things i recommend you do mate. First off a tune up in general would be nice, plugs wires cap rotor, which i believe you did, also the fuel filter, air filter, oil change if you havent, tranny fluid change if you havent, and a good ol oiling to the gears/rear etc. After that if its still bogging down a random thing i recommend is changing the TFI Module. I think im gonna put an add in my sig for tfi modules, and r.barn can put a turbo add in his =P. The tfi module allowed my car to run apast 3500rpms and to OWN lots of cars haha. I felt soooo slow before the tfi change, and then i felt fast afterwards =P, but in all reality im still not all that fast. Soon to come though im getting h/c/i+supporting mods....and oh ya, one of those s/c things =P, or i might go turbo r.barn relax haha <3
