I dont think you can go to big on the mass air. A customer of mine is running a 95MM from PMAS and it works great. we ran a 75mm just as testto compare with a C&L and it worked well also but when we put the 95 on it you could feel a big difference in the power and the way it ran the75 was also a PMAS. But the car is S/C.

I think you could run one, my tuner highly recommended one so i'm fitting one to my cold air intake. He likes them because they are relatively inexpensive and extremely accurate and reliable and are good for a good amount of HP. There are just a few things you need to work around to make them work with a 5.0 but nothing major. I got mine NIB for $20 shipped off eBay

If you tune it right, there is basically no maf that is too big, i got a lmaf on my 94 i got the maf and harness from blue oval for just over 100 and then got an adapter from the modular depot for 35 and cut the end of my k and n intake and justput the two round ends together with some rubber couplers and adapters.

you will definitely need a tune to run it, you'll also need a wiring harness adapter or you'll need to splice the connector onto the end of your MAF wires.
