Looks like it's time. The Steeda #19 is pretty friendly with the finicky SN95 computers. You're probably looking at 275-ish at the wheels with a good tune and supporting mods.

with the 1.7s you will have to be more picky. Hopefully someone can guide you in the right direction. If not, call a manufacturer and ask them.
hope this helped

The Steeda #19 is a good choice because even with the 1.7 rockers you're still only running .510 lift, i'm happy with my combo. GT40 heads are definitely good enough to benefit from a cam unlike the E7s.

thanks guys, you talked me into it. i just wasnt sure if it was worth it. i was just concerned that i wouldnt gain much, and then not pass cali smog and idle like crap. couple more questions:

do the sn95 ecu's like more lift or more duration?

what do the 1.7's add to the overall lift of a cam?

how much lift/duration would be overkill for my combo?

thanks again!

Since you are in "emissions ****-land"...... just make sure you install a cam with a CARB #. BTW....it's not just a duration vs. lift thing, if you go high on the overlap, those HC numbers will go up on the inspection. The 1.7 rockers = 6.25% more lift than the 1.6 rockers, and it doesn't affect emissions.
