it wont solve it, but for only a few bucks you can get a "quick disconnect" switch from autozone that you just put on the terminal. im guessing that some wires melted and you now have a hot wire running constinately, but who knows i hate electrical stuff.

your headlight switch or wiring harness is bad ,the wires are melted together causing them to stay on, best thing to do is replace the headlight switch and the harness with a pigtail

I just redid the head light switch wiring in my GT. You can buy a new wire pigtail and switch from 50resto and redo the wiring.

I had the exact same problem last summer. i could get the lights off but the parking lights wouldnt turn off. i would pull back the switch to off but it woud snap back on to the parking lights. i played the same game of disconnecting the battery for a week. i took out the head light switch and accidently broke something during the process[:@]. but to my luck when i put it back in after changing nothing it works like new. but it is a little loose and wobely when it is sitting there. idk what broke to fix it. to fix the problem i think i/you need a whole new switch which i believe is $30-40 from 50resto or a similiar sight. hope it helps, nathan
