Default 87-93 5.0 guys/gals

87-93 is my favorite body style. I am in constant search for the right one.
I am also looking for a convertible 99-04 for the wife.
I have been reading that power-wise (if one was to make it into a serious machine) it is better to go for the 5.0 than the 4.6, but from what I have researched, 5.0 only made only 205hp and 235 as Cobra. the last year of the 5.0, cobra was supposed to have 0-60 of 6.7 seconds! That is a half a second slower than my 4-door sedan...
When I rolled around in my friends 89 GT (about 7 years ago) it seemed to be so fast and awesome.
What is the deal with the 5.0 after all?

So how much would be needed to make them hit 60 in less or around 5 seconds?

Put some good tires on it, drag shocks, control arms, beef up the rear end, put heads and a cam in and you can hit 60 as fast as you can hit the gas.

I drive a 2k3 Nissan Maxima, with 255hp out of a 3.5 V-6. It is listed at 6.3 secs 0-60, but with the new Yokohamas I've hit 60 in 6.28

RWD will anilate FWD from a dig any day. AWD is way better than a stock RWD, but a built up rear end on a RWD with some slicks would smoke an AWD in my opinion.
