How much difference in performance has it mad? Im sure not alot from just an intake but anything noticable?

yea i had a hard time putting the filter on too, i had to put one arm up there and try to find it blind, since i couldnt see it, then i had to some how tighten the brace around it which was a bitch to do with one hand, so i taped it in place and all was good. Theres deffinitaly more satisfaction in doing a install yourself though, but i can see why you would take it to the dealership.

As to answer your question lol, mine made a noise for the first couple hours but went away, it was like a loud wining noise or whistle but it didnt last too long.

yeah i called the ford dealer and talked to their performance guy and he said that the noise was normal especially with howcold it is outside right now...drove it around for a little bit today and it seems like the noise is getting somewhat quieter

stick yer head down by the pass parking light and you will find the source, it is the filter. Are you near phoenix? I would have put it in fer $50 just to help ya out

you will also probably notice it is louder with the pass door open, at least from the driver seat. I always hear it when somebody gets in or out.

sometimes the throttle body can whistle as well but yes, it will stay there until you upgrade your exhaust or stereo........

already have exhaust on the way...ha and yes i use the stereo to cover it up...just my parents are going to freak out when they hear the noise and start trying to say im destroying the car
