so does anyone know about the valve springs for this cam? its very similar to the F-303 cam. (same lift). like what is good for: Installed Height (in). Seat Pressure at Installed Height (lbs). Open Height (in). Open Pressure (lbs) and outer/inner spring diameter

like ive been askin for a while...

what I'd do since both the cams carry the same specs and require near identical open and closed pressures is use the f-cam springs cause it will insure no machining is needed and you'll need the matching retainers and locks.....the only difference between the two cams is the lobe seperation-= LSA......the cam you want and what dimebag bought will be more speed density friendly and have a better idle quality...f-cam needs to be used with mass air car

those look like a good choice for most people here, 120 lbs @ seat is right where ya wanna be, maybe 130 if you wanna rev a tad higher

i don't think he can use dual springs on the 40p's because of how thick the valve stem seal area is. if they do fit, there won't be much room for error

i wanna go single spring. and my car is an 89 so it is mass air.

should i just go w/ the f cam cuz it is cheaper then? or will i be happier w/ the comp?

Go to Thumper of Orange Park and email Mike for a "drop-in" kit of springs/retainers/locks that will work with the Comp Cam. They are single with damper, and will not require any mods to the heads.
