The first two definitaly look like car alarm equipment. These diagrams may help solve your vacuum line problems.

The 5th picture I want to say is the constant vacuum line that goes from the EGR solenoid to the intake. It should be hooked up. The last picture is the vacuum hose that is supposed to be hooked up to the EGR solenoid for the EGR valve to function. Currently, I'm guessing your EGR valve stays open, and you probably have a screwed up idle. I know I do.
I think the 4th picture tube is supposed to go to the EGR valve instead of that big black one in picture 6

The fifth picture is the a/c vaccum line. Should run to your vaccum tree on the drivers side like in pic 3 where your holding that broken hose coming from the middle of the tree.
the first two pics are alarm related and they are aftermarket. You can probably tear them out and follow the wires to the old brain(normally behind the drivers kick panel or the steering colum area) and take it out to. The only real question would be if they had a starter kill on it which still should not be a problem........
yeah i have a weird idle.white (sometimes black)smoke too...a friend said a vacuum leak could be causing the smoke.
i have the hardest time understanding the wire/vacuum diagrams that people post. i have a haines book but couldnt find help on where those lines go.
