is this picture below..the tube that people are always talkin about blocking off? goes to the exhaust. what can i block it with?

these are lose wires under the dash. maybe they're suppose to be by themselves.

Follow your top radiator hose to the engine, when the hose comes to an end you'll see an aluminum housing, inside that is where your thermostat is.

pic 7 = inlet and outlet tubes for heater core
pic 8= should go to a rubber block with other vacuum lines attached, which I don't see in your pic.

Since your showing that vacuum line that comes from either the TAB or TAD sensor I'm guessing your 87 had that rubber block.
I have no idea what that rubber block/manifold is called or where you could find it new, my best suggestion is a wrecking yard.
