I have seen on some board or another, that the convertable mounts will lower a 351W by about 3/4".
That could be a possible way out........

ORIGINAL: r.barn

It can be done, but you will spend just as much in modifying
and remodifiying and machining of intake and CIA to make it work.
You will also develope severe bruising to the forehead from banging
your head against the wall.

If you want to do the swap, plan on a hood. ecspecially in a SN95 car.
OMFG!!!! ITS GOING TO TAKE THE CIA TO GET IT TO WORK!!!![]

what about somethign liek the spyder efi kit where its just the elbow? I woulda thought that that would be able to clear. and don't freak cuz i kno tpi blows, but what about those standalone holley tpi kits? http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...45169_-1_10299
its the same size of a 2bbl, which should clear, but its a standalone, fully tunable efi system.

lower engine mounts

isnt that what they did in MMFF to fit the bigger blower on the gt500

(body spacers would also work with the lowering kit i would imagine but....ive never seen body spacers for stangs)

basically all body lift kits are the same... 2" nylon cylinders with longer bolts... if i cant find one for a mustang, i figured a kit for a ranger or something like that will get the job done the same
