Shorty Headers
BBK chrome equal lengthsor BBK ceramic unequals. Dont really have the money for the ceramic equals so thats why I am asking. Maybe another brands is better but they have to be Carb legal. Let me know.

RE: Shorty Headers
Id say the ceramic unequals just because one of the purposes for the coating is for heat and the equals have been known for burning wires but its all debatable with lots of mixed reviews, i bought bbk ceramic equals and therein the middle of being installed so i cant say anything more then i heard so dont make a decision based on me but i can give you my first hand expereince with bbk to be honest i havent been happy with the headers so far the the welds on the ports were poor and they gave me the wrong gaskets. I liked the company the first time i delt with them (xpipe) but id be a little more reluctent now but it cxould have been just bad luck.

RE: Shorty Headers
I thought the same thing my h pipe is nice and then when i got my BBK unequals they looked kind of slopy on the welds but other than that they are solid and i like them, they went in with no hastle at all and made the car sound better and added a few ponys.

I was lookin at chrome unequals for my'90 5.0 lx. Are those good headers? Any reason I should stayaway from the chrome finish?

I called 2 performance shop and they both said the equals will burn wires. As for chrome, you might as well spend the extra $ money and get the ceramics. Some good fittng headers a shop mentioned were the Ford Racing Ceramics, JBA, and Hooker.
