Default Headers

first, how hard is it to change out headers? u dont need to remove the engine do ya? and how much do u think a shop would charge to change the headers and put on an x pipe? and which headers and hi-flow cat x pipe are the best. i have flowmaster force 2 cat-back exaust on it now. i like the sound just want it a lil louder but i like the deep flowmaster tone. any replies will help

you can do headers yourself, dont take it to a shop you have to lift the motor to put long tubes in, for shorties theres not a whole lot required to do the job just figure it out

shorties you can put in without a lift and long tubes you can put in from the bottom. i recommend shorties for DD and long tube for drag racers

installing headers:

pass side - take out air box maf and all that stuff, remove the two smog lines, then it fits in fine

driver side - remove dipstick, then it fits in fine. try searching for this its been covered 5000000000000000000000000000 times

i installed my own long tube headers and even though it took a while to figure it out, the work is worth it.

its actually pretty easy to install long tubes, for the driver side just remove the master brake cylinder, dip stick and steering column. slide that header in and bolt it up.

for the passenger side, remove the starter motor and unbolt the engine mount. jack up the engine 2 inchs and slide the header in then bolt it up. then reassemble everything and your good.
