i was going to go with upr for the front. and i was told wolffe for the rear.( i may have spelled wolffe wrong) but i was told the same thing about chrome moly as jasperstang said.something about it being stronger but more brittle for potholes and such due to our great michigan winters.so this is b.s?

A guy that comes into the shop has a 90 GT with a UPR K-member kit under it. He is running a 572 big block Ford with a Jerico 4 speed. Every pass he is carring the fronttires past the 60' mark andhis hasn't bent yet. He street drivesit also. Chrome moly all the way!

Chrome moly is the way to go. I have manufactured my own subframe connectors and battle boxes out of it. Most all pro race teams have to use it for their chasis and roll cages. Most all of our military aircraft use it in thier eject seats. As a prototype machinist we use alot of it in various milspec applications. You can heat treat it to the point of hardness, that if you drop it it will break like glass.
