not going to see much difference. yes you opend up the air tube but it doesnt make that much of a difference. driver error will take in account for the difference. on a stock motor no need to up grade anyways. actually is more of a waste of money then anything. do some research and youll see what im getting at

i dont know what that will do for the 1/8th but it should put you at low 14s with those mods.

if you got a bigger MAF and TB that will dip you into the 13s.
a MAF wont give you hp. it just adds to the combo. and a tb isnt going to gain you that much more either.

you are wrong,

A larger MAF lets the engine breathe,

take two identical engines one with a stock maf and one with a 73mm or 76mm.

which one makes more power?

yes more air in is good but only as long as there is more exhaust out, one upgraded without the other will likley hurt mor than it helps. plus bigger maf usually call for a bump in fuel pressure so a new regulator would be helpful.

I will tell you that it is not a waste of money.. I had a stock motor, and I threw on a TB and MAF, and I knocked half a second off my time. Those two items are the key to making peak horsepower, ESPECIALLY in stock form.

Bad driving would make up for it? Wrong! If you are a bad driver, and run 17's with a stock 5.0, after adding those mods, you are still driving just as bad, you will still improve your time! You don't drive worse with every mod..
