WHAT ABOUT UNDERDRIVE PULLeYS?
ive been seeing people write about underdrive pulleys and say " you need to get new under drive pulleys". Why ? what will new ones do? do they just look better? what exactly are they?

If you go to www.aspracing.com they are pretty specific in how much they slow things down. The crank pulley is usually around 25% under and water pump 30% and they also have a larger alt pulley to slow the alt down. It's all about more hp....

turning things uses your horsepower, removing them gains it back.. which is why people do a/c and smog eliminations, underdrive pulleys dont remove them but slow them down so they dont steal as much hp. stock 5.0 225 hp without anything on the belt, 205 with everything.. so really if you delete smog and a/c and get underdrives.. u can get like 215 hp from a stock 5.0 instead of 205

OK , IT MAKES SENSE THAT IF YOU SLOW EVERYTHING DOWN THEN YOU WILL FIND MORE HORSE POWER. BUT...WHEN YOU SLOW THINGS DOWN LIKE THE WATER PUMP AND THE ALT AND A/C DOES THAT MAKE THEM PERFORM LESS. WILL MY CAR RUN HOTTER?
