RE: SMOKING, PISTON RINGS?
I wanna say piston rings, my friends truck used to smoke like a bastard especially when it was warmed up. He hadreworked the heads that were on it and it still smoked. I took that motor apart and every single top ring was was broken in it. That was a 351W though.

Video looked and sounded like a valve lash issue. It makes alot more smoke when warm.
If it was indeed oil, a Compression test would of showed very high compression in the cylinders
leaking oil into them, as that would raise compression, or be really low if it was very bad oil rings.

its not chevy orange! its ford orange [:@], your right about the valve lash issue, it took me a few attemts to get it right.
It wasnt perfect though i put longer pushrods and the noise went away at idle but it was still noisy i thought it was a bad lifter, or some people said rollers are just noisy so i left it like that. Im tired of taking it apart so im not taking any chances this time.
