need some advice
Hey guys I am new to this site, and looking for alot of advice for the stang. I have a 1984 and a half mustang GT350 20th anniversary V-8 mustang. The thing that I am thinking that I want to do is put E303 cam, GT-40-P heads, GT-40 headers with full exhaust system with X-pipe, holley intake manifold, and I am already running a 650cfm holley. What do you think? ( and please dont BS me just to make me look like a dumb-***, I am new at this.
how much of a difference is there in GT-40-P heads with 1.7 lifters and the Aluminum heads? and how much do the iron rouch heads and how do they compare to the GT-40's [sm=dontgetit.gif] (never heard of them)
gt40 p heads are good heads, they flow better than the gt40 heads, with smaller vlaves. if you get gt40p heads, have them ported and a 5 angle vlave job done. they will work really good, and cast iron head in my opinion are a better head, they just weigh alittle more, but if 40 lbs extra bugs you then get some aluminum heads. oh yeah make sure you get some gt40 p headers if you go for the gt40p heads, i think bbk makes them for the gt40p head. and the e cam will be ok with the 1.7 rockers. you shouldnt have any valve clearence issues. youll be happy with that set up in a daily driver, good power and good street manners.
Yes it is white. why did you want to know that? and yes it is a roller engine. the year i have is a 1984 and a half and those came with all the 85 stuff on them and that is when they put the roller motor in. so yes i have a roller engine. what is the difference between a GT-40 head and a GT-40-P head. I think it just means that you have a set of GT-40 heads that are ported? and if i am wrong do you have to have a special header for the GT-40 head
the gt40 p head came on the 97 + 5.0 explorer, they have smaller vlaves than the gt40, but they flow better. you need gt40 p headers if running gt40p heads, the bolt pattern is at an angle, gt40 bolt up like stock headers.
ok so it is better to have GT-40-P heads? If i get them should i put 1.7 lifters on it. and if i am wrong on my car being a roller motor do i have to buy a certain kind of head or anything special?
