Default the best heads available under a grand

whats the best possible heads i can get under a grand?..and i hear the afr's are good, what do those usually run for?

AFR heads run around $1400. All be it, the best in my humble opinion...

But, we all understand budget to some point.

You are probably going to be looking at some of the cheaper aluminum heads.

You could possibly look for some "good" used aluminum heads.

If you have time, shop around...

I know they are heavy but you can get ironRHS heads for under a grand.

If your budget is a grand why not save up a couple more hundred dollars and get a better set of heads

Shop around on the forums. Look in the classifieds here, and in the Corral classifieds. I found my Twisted Wedge heads in the Corral classifieds, brand new in the box, with brand new FRPP 1.6 roller rockers and new hardened pushrods for $1250 shipped from Illinois to Florida. It tookme a couple of months to locate something within my budget (my budget for heads was also under $1000), but I was able to save a little more while I was looking.
