Default Quick question about clutch

Before I could start my car, I have to sink the clutch all the way to the floor before it'll kick over. Is this normal? A buddy of mine only needs to press his clutch about halfway before his car would start. I'm running a KC Clutch and adjustable cable (that has had the shyt adjusted out of it). I'm not sure what clutch my buddy has, the car came with the clutch.

I don't think you have any issue. You just have to push the clutch down to put the car in neutral before you can try to start it. So you and your buddy probably just have different points at which the clutch puts the car in neutral. Could be the cable/cable adjustment.

I do have a new adjustable cable installed, but I didn't put in the quardrant or the firewall adjuster. + My car is grinding in 3rd. I was looking at getting the syncros changed, but now that my buddy has pointed out to me that I have to put my clutch all the way to the floor, he's thinking that I may need to change the clutch cable or put in the quardrant and adjust it some more. Perhaps my syncros are fine?

Unfortunately I can't shed much light there. I am running the stock cable and stock quadrant. I know others will chime in with some input though.

Not sure, but this link might help:

Ummmm, neutral safety switch perhaps? Mechanical clutch adjustment has nothing to do w/ the starter kicking over.

Not if you have your safety switch bypassed or you have an automatic tranny ... [8D]
