Default EEC-V Programming HELP!

let me start by saying I dont have a mustang so Please dont hold it against me. I am comming to you guys because I know nobody knowsFord motors better then mustang enthusiast.

To give some insight to my project I am building a full tubed rockcrawler and I am putting a 302 out of a 1998 ford explorer with the eec-v and I need to delete anything possible but most of all the anti theft. I am not looking to get huge gains in power I just need reliability and simplicity.

So my questions are

Can I delete the anti theft, abs, transmission controls?

and what other sensors can I delete?

I have searched and found things like the tweecer and one by sniper but they seem like they are probable way more then I need.
Are there any shops where I could just send in my computer and have the modifications done.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advanced

your best bet would hyave been to get a wire harness for a 89-93 mustang and use the eec iv newer vehicles as such often operate based on the CAN network system and the Pats module communicates over the can network to the ecm/pcmto enable start if all key data matches

why not run carb? eliminate all your computer problems..... but yeah, we run eec-iv's, completely different beast. you basically will have to see how each sensor effects the computers control on the engine to know what u can delete, the newer mustang guys will know more than us 5.0 guys

Carbs dont like near virtical cliffs and off camber situations.

I emailed TwEEKer and the guy said there product will do everything I need and more but I am concerned as I have no knowledge of tuning motors

At this point I would be happy just deleting the anti theft so I can remove the steering column and replace with a custom made one for my Hydraulic steering.

you really would just be better off getting the wiring harness and computer system from a 89-95 stang... easy to find, and its OBD-1, which means alot less bull**** to go wrong electrically
