HELP!! What do I need for a 400 mile trip?
I have a 1987 SSP. I'm going on a road trip from Oakland to Los Angeles which is about 400 miles. What preventive maintainence can I do to prepare for the trip? What parts should I bring with me?

Do what said above and check tire pressure. Just bring some basic hand tools. 400 miles isn't goin to kill your car unless it's already in bad shape. Oh and dont forget your wallet with these crazy gas prices lol.

Really it all depends on how well maintained the car is. When I moved I drove my Cobra from NJ to FL (1000 miles on the dot) with not a single hiccup. Assuming that, I would just check the tire pressures/fluids and maybe the hoses/wires under the hood if you think they may need it. Bring some good cruising music!

Tools, extra coolant, oil, WTF!!! Do you guys drive POS's? I don't bring anything on the road. That's what cell phones and tow trucks are for. Check the basics and hit the road.
