Default SMELL OF COOLANT

When i drive the car i get a smell of coolant. i did get the smell when i turned on my heat but know i do not anymore. i only get the smell when i'm driving it and only get the smell when the windows are down. someone told me it was the headgaskets but i do not think that it is. i have also changed the waterpump so that isnot the problem. i have no idea what it is and wanted to see if you guys know.

do you notice any coolant leaking, maybe frome heater hose and burning on your header. Do you have one of those coolant flush hook ups?

nope, nothing is coming fromt the heater hose and burning on the header. wouldn't that be a heater core than is that was happening?

Mine does the same thing. It drips just little drops at a time onto my header. It comes from a metal pipe right above the drivers side header. The smell sucks[:'(]

yea, mine leaks too. My heater core was leaking and i bypassed it. Now the metal pipes leading to the heater core slowly drip onto my header and burn up. It stinks.
