If I bought a car off a guy on the street, the first thing I'd do is replace the entire ignition and fuel system. One by one.

ORIGINAL: 50Stocker

clean the mass air sensor
uhhhhhh no it's an 88 = sd unless it's a california model or been converted......as for the bucking you need to start by running a fuel pressure test.....to check pump output and volumne.....could be a clogged filter or partially restricted could be a fuel pump or it may have a tps issue....try running a koeo/koer test and see if there are any codes output.....all of these can contribute to your issue......so don't just throw parts at it like some here are suggesting..perform the test to troubleshoot and fix the prob not throw a barage of parts at it to hope it fixes prob

yeah first check the fp, not just while idling, need to check it under load

if the fp doesn't flutter a bunch (34-42 psi range at wot) then go to electronics.

check timing, plug wires, plug gap (gap it at .040" and see if it helps...if yes..it is ignition/coil) and just use copper plugs, no platinums or anything else stupid

this is assuming you have already replaced the fuel filter which should just be done anyways.

ok so i was messin with it right now and as i had the hood open and was throttling it from the linkage by the motor if u throttle it and hold it while it bogs down it'll pop and from what it sounds like is that its coming from the throttle body. could it have somethin to do with the MAF?
