okay, i have a mostly stock 302 5 speed, its got bbk un-equal headers, bbk h-pipe, flowmasters, and it might have a cam and mabe a rebuild(300,000ish on the motor and runs great)

now my question is, what can i get from the junkyard to make it better, quicker, stronger??

1 ive read on aother post from this site about some stuff i can get off of an explorer..........(upper/lower intake, heads) anythings else? and what year is the exploerer suposed to be

2 also i heard something about getting the rear end off of a ranger..........(rear end which is an 8.8 posi with disc breaks and usually 3:73's in it) is this true with disk breaks?? and what year

3 also, i was told to get some 24# injectors, would the ranger(that i might get rear end off of) have these??(and would i wana get a chip 'cause of this and all the other mods that i wana do)

is there any other stuff that i would want to get? even if it does not add power, but is just stronger(block, throtle body, maf, or whatever)

hopefuly these are not questions you hear too often lol, newbies, but i read through almost all of the posts on this site before i posted this, and my questions are based on stuff i read here and on other sites

sry for the second post, but like i said it runs stong for the miles on it, so i 'am' gona get a rebuild kit and i noticed that there many upon many to choose from, what do i get for the things listed above,

also my best time was a 14.4 in the 1/4

did you read the junkyard performace thread at the top? and your setup doesnt need 24# injectors it'll be overkill

yes, i saw that it was a good thread, but i was hopeing there might be some more things out there that ppl would know

like for the rear end of the ranger, what year and how much of it do i take, will it hook up to my trans(stock t5 for now)

should i get a different trans from the yard, t56 for a camaro and then get the bellhousing to do the swap?

lol, idk, if everyone can help me make a much more detailed list i would be very greatfull(and i am searching before i post)

ok you can get 24# injectors from a LT1 fbody. look for a 97 1/4 and up explorer. but a 98 and up dont have egr. grab the intake and heads. try to get the 65 tb

ranger rear ends arent the same. they use leaf spring where mustangs use coil springs. you can use the parts off it.

And you can bolt them into a fox without modification? Because I'd like a 3.73 myself.

is this something i could also just buy new at the auto store? if so how much money you think
also, would this hold like 500ish hp?
and if i were to just get it from the junkyard, what all do i need and not need?;

I have never put a ranger rear in a fox so can not ansewer your question. I was reading the thread and sall that you guys wer talking about it . I had the info from a search that I did for my ranger and posted the axle codes to help you out if it could . alls that I can say for shure is it bolted up to my ranger and got a 3:73 +1 for 75.00 bux LOL

never heard of this swap but I will do some googleing to find a link for you cause that's the kind of guy I am
