depends??? carbed or fuel injected??? fuel injected will take a little more time to install...and I'd reccommend a complete donor 5.0 for such a swap.. I converted my 92 from 2.3 to 5.0 and had a 85 gt as a donor car

when i did my swap we pulled a motor from a 89 auto and pulled my old motor from my 88 1/2 5speed and switched the flexplate for a flywheel and drop it bak in it took us 1 day about 10 hours and a 24 pack . it was me and a buddy , if you do it by your self its gonna take alot longer!!!

well its an 89 4 cylinder auto. i'm going to swap everything from the 89 5.0 i have now into the 4 cylinder notch.

i know i'll have to rig up the pedals which i assume i could just switch out both assemblies right?

I've never went from auto to man but i have a buddy who did it before. Luckily i did not know him when he did it lol. He said that was about the hardest task with the whole swap. But it is still very doable. Just take your time like said above.
