when i start the car the CEL will come on and then 5 beeps 5 times there is a pause in between every 5 beeps. does this sequence mean anything?? ive about had it with this damn car, i almost wish it was a bomb beeping about to blow up so it would take away all the headaces this car has caused me. Please help.

CEL on and beeping are not related.... LOL...... what year is your Mustang?....does it have the airbag system?...... for the CEL on problem though, you need to run the DIY KOEO/KOER/Cylinder Balance Self-Test

the beeping is probably the air bag system...when I converted my 92 from 2.3 to 5.0 and made it carb the air bag light would flash so I removed the bulb thinking that'd be it.. but once I did that the module beeps on start up indicating a fault....well duh!!! it's not hooked up anymore......also if the bulb for the air bag system is burnt out that may be the cause.. but every 1/2 hour or so it'll sound off..I've just been to lazy to ever un plug the module

i didnt know, though that might be a diagnostic thing. anyway yes alot of bulbs are blown. how can i deactivate this damned beeping, unplugging the module, where is this located??? thanks for responses guys

on my fox it's a blue module located on a ledge behind the heater controls

and for that test i dont have a volt guage and that process seems complicated as hell or is it just me?

LOL.... Check the CEL alternative, all you need is a paper clip, jump the correct terminals at the VIP connector and watch the CEL flash the codes.

the noise i hear is very similar to that, probley just got changed by the recording so yes ill say thats the noise i hear.

^^^if that's the case just follow the beep to it's orgin and unplug the module
