Transmission
Flexplate (you may stilll be able to use the 157 tooth you have now if you have a small bellhousing C4)
TV Cable (AOD) or Kickdown Cable (C4)
computer does not have to be switched but can be (Unless its an AODE)
You can leave the pedals also and still use the clutch as a neutral safety switch to have to start the car
Trans cooler and its lines

Thats all I can think of but not for sure if it is all of it.
my Clutch SS isn't hooked up.. I'll just pull the clutch pedal assembly.

Where do you guys recommend I pick up a throttle valve cable assembly from?

Decided upon AOD. Do I need a different flexplate?

Yes the flexplate is different.

Do your homework, it will 20 dollar you to death (I know.) Even when you think you have everything...

Has anyone actually done this conversion? The floorpans on an automatic and stick car appear to be different and the holes look different.
If I remember right B+M was saying their shifter would not work in a stick car.

I know I had to cut a little towards the front of the tunnel in order for me to get to the front 2 bolts on the shifter. So I would bet from the factory the hole would be bigger on a manual car. But I don’t see if being so big that you couldn't make it work for an auto shifter. You could always screw the 4 holes in the side, because that shouldn't be any wider.

i know when i did my aod to t5 swap i had to add material in some places and cut a bigger hole in others. as for the conversion... you shouldn't have very many problems with it... you can always post in the wtb section of this forum or check ebay for the cables and ish... pull your part is a great place too.

Kinda, but they are 2 different pieces. An auto has a flexplate, a manual has a flywheel. Dont get the 2 screwed up!

your gonn have to remove the pilot bearing fromt he rear of the crank, you need an auto flexplate, you need a aod blockplate, the t5 starter is fine to use with the aod. your gonna need the auto computer(you can use the auto computer in a manual swap but not vice versa) your gonna have to mess witht he crossmember to slide it foward slightly. the speedo cable will work but you need a gear foe an auto car. y9ou gonna need the tv cable and the associated pieces for the throttle body the shifter etc your gonna need a tranny cooler since your manual car probably doesnt have one. the floor pan is slightly different

i might have some of the parts like stock shifter,tv cable etc ill look and see i swapped from an aod to a t5 you doing it backwards[8D]

i would go with the A9P computer it works with both auto and manual tranny. and yes dont forget the pilot bearing its a real pain when u go to but the tranny in and it just doesnt fit right. i got my motor from a 5spd car and didnt bother to look if the bearing was still there. i found it 3 days later. lol
