when i had mine put on i went to a muffler shop and took my car up on a lift. once we had the braces where they were close to where they are supposed to be, we jacked the car up a little with the subrames in between the jack and car then welded. if your convertible has as much "flex" as mine did you will have to do it at least for the passenger side.

hope that helped you out some.

your car needs to be at normal ride height while in the air this will give you the best condition to weld if not your car will be twisted when you go about weldign them

mine was twisted a bit at normal ride height. was on a drive up lift. the welding of subrames helped straiten the car back out.

oh and the subframe connectors are wonderful. i didnt realize how much of a differance they would make. was like driving a different car when done.

when i did mine, i had the car on the ground in the drive way. i tightened the seat support all the way down and then welded the ends with a jack holding them up tight to the body

xjarhead1999 did you get full length or short?

I want full length.

If you car sags in the middle like mine I would just jack the center up just a little until you get the underside of the car straight with the connectors IMO

full length. need em for a convertible. yeah thats what we done with the sagging. it straitened the car up alot. my top works great now and my car doesnt lean lower on the passengerside rear.

not meaning to steal the post or anything and this may sound stupid but where exactly do the subframe connectors go? On the frame rails on the passenger and driver's side?
