alarm system install...
Is there anyway to install an alarm system into a car that has manual locks? When i bought my car it came with a bunch of parts too and included was an alarm for a car, but i was just wondering how exactly i would hook something like this up? Its a convertible and doesnt have power locks, so would i still be able to hook an alarm up and if so how exacty would i got about doing so? Thanks

RE: alarm system install...
Yes you can hook up the alarm. Most alarms have sensors that set them off. They have nothing to do with the locks. Except for the fact when you unlock your car with the keyless entry it disables the alarm. All you'd have to do is disarm it before you open your door.
Here is the problem, I hope you have a wiring diagram for your alarm, if not it'll be hard to hook up the alarm seeing how there are so many different styles.
Let me know if you have anymore questions. And let me know if you have diagrams.

Huh... that's weird. Does it have any places to plug anything in? You would disarm it with a remote. Basically like a keyless entry remote.Tell you what, if you want an alarm go pick one up. You can get pretty cheap ones for basic stuff like you want. You can even find one with a motion sensor for your convertible. They are simple to install. If you can install a stereo you can install an alarm.
