Who cares about yer mph or rpms for that matter...Just beat it and have fun.
yeah, and then enjoy the sound of a rod knocking 5k miles later
yeah something like that lol. Autometer gauges are better than stock imo but are bulky and hard to put in the right postion withough affecting sight of RPM's and location space, but very handy nonetheless.

And ohno i just have to ask...are your rims black or is that just a helluva lot brake dust lol?
gunmetal i need new pics now that i've finished the centercaps...oh well...

with stock gears, in 4th gear at about 5,000rpms it is about 143mph, and 5th is a lil slower because the car will not pull it, with a hot motor that will pull 5th with 2.73's at 5,000rpm on stock height tires it's like 180mph

Holy cow I didn't think it was that high. I guestimated around 165 max in 5th, but your saying 180+? Wow, but the 4th makes sense, my brother and I took my car up to 120 or so in 4th and I thought it was about 4000-4200 rpm, but I wasn't exactly sure. Guess I remembered correctly.

I love people who base the speed of the car they drive on the speedo {sure my 02 camaro says 160 but thats in 5th i still have 6th}
I have an 87 lx w/351 and i never hit 180 the car will shake its self apart.. I cant tell how fast i get to it because the spedo snapped when i launched it last year. I hear the reason my tach is off 2x is that its fr a 4 cylnder car not my v8 in side it if thats right how is an easy way to change it {i hate autometer gauges and lights im all stock lookin car} I currently shift gears when the tach spins twice and back to red line

You can buy a reconditioned and recalibrated 140 mph. speedometer that will fit in your dash cluster just like stock for an '83-'93 fromlatemodel restoration supply Here are the years parts numbers and prices.
83-86...LRS-17255A...$179.95
87-89...LRS-17255B-RR...$159.95
90-93...LRS-17255C-RR...$159.95
all of them have a $20 core charge thats what I'm gonna do once I get the rest of my cars bugs worked out.
