Does anyone know what i need to do to convert my crap 85mph speedo to a 140 mph unit? i'm pretty sure i need to change the speedo gear but not sure which one i need.

 

Get a gauge cluster that has the 140 mph in it and take out the 85 cluster out and put in the 140. Go to www.car-parts.com and look for a junkyard in your area and get the the cluster. I found one with a Police 160 mph (for my 88) cluster for 110.00 shipped. You don't need to change your speedo gear.
