Passing Emissions in WA (or by passing the perf. chip)
Hi there all,
I just did a search on getting a 91 GT to pass emissions in washington and cant find the information I'm looking for. 2 years ago I got it passed by pulling the fuse to the Performance chip.. this in turn set the timming back to ford factory defualts and my car passed with out any CATs ... I had an internet article that had a step by step guide to doing this was a diagram of the fuss .... me being the doofus that I am cant remember which on it is .... soooooo... if anyone knows the where abouts off the fuse (or connector) .. or they know the article I'm talking about could you send it my way :-)

I got the answer .. finally found a really old archived email I kept ...

basically disconnect the SPOUT connector and this holds the ignition timming to its base setting ... I'm off to get registered for another 2 years :-P :-) :-)

Thanks for the "welcome" guys I'm in Bellevue as well (you may have seen a Electric Blue and Sliver Fox driving around) -- I passed emmissions with flying colors after failing the first one .. I included the link as it shows the connector .. from talking with another guy here with a 94 thats cat less, this sets the timing to factory settings ... one intersting thing is that the 2nd guy I got said "hope out and I'll get it passed for you" .. he turned the heat up full and turned on the fan to full as well .... not sure what that was all about ..
But it passed so just have to remember that in 2 years time again :-)
