i need help with checking to see if the ECT sensor is good or not. i wanted to know how to check it

 

i had a prob with the ECT sensor! on hot days it would shut it self off! it took me for ever to figure out it was it! i replaced every sensor! like i said on hot days it would run like ***, think the motor was geting to hot it would stale it self out! on cold days it would run great! iam not sure if theres a way to check it out to see if its bad or not if your car is having the issues like i mention or somthing close , i would replace it i think its only like $15 cheap fix for such a head ache! hope that helps u out!! Unplug it, if its the problem the car will run better. You will get a CEL if you unplug it so don't freak out lol. Mine was bad and thats what I did, it never threw a code either. And it can screw with alot, Ford ran the same 5v feed through the ECT, TPS, O2's, and MAF lol kind of dumb IMO.
