If you want to make more torque and power go with longtubes, I like my BBK shorties though. They were pretty easy to installunlike longtubes.

Look into hooker shortyheads, I've seen alot of talk aboutabout different heads like MAC and bbk but shortys are definetly the best I've come across. Their gonna run you up a little more money but the percision welding is great and make such a unique sound compared to everyone elses.

If you go with long-tube headers, you will have to replace your factory mid-pipe with one designed for them. I put a set of used BBK stainless shorties on my 93 and am happy with them, did the full exhaust headers back all at once. Haven't heard alot of good thing about mac headers (fitment issues). It's a pretty straight foward install, 18 bolts and 2 gaskets, get yourself a can of pb blaster for the collector bolts.

There is nothing wrong w/ shorty headers. The majority of stangs have them I guarantee it including mine.

The BBK equal length ceramic coated shorties are very nice and well made headers. Mine have been on the car for almost 3 years now and still look like the day I bought them. They are about 320.00 or so from Summit.
