Default Ignition system

I have an automatic 1989 Mustang GT Convertible. I have a few different bolt-on modifications. I am not wanting to go real crazy with my car. I just want it to be a fast daily driver. I don't know much about the ignition systems for a foxbody. I would like to get a little better gas mileage and throttle response. What would be a good ignition setup for me?

Thank-you for the help.

msd 6al ignition box, msd blaster 2 coil, msd superconductor wires.

you can get a new distributor but you dont have to. at the very least, get a new cap and rotor. i belive msd makes a cap and rotor for the stock distributor

I agree MSD is what you want/wish you had if you went another route.
