Is this turbo kit worth fooling with. Great price if it is. Does anyone know what else is needed to go with this kit? OR.... Where I might find a kit at a fair price....New or used. Thanks

RE: Is turbo kit good or bad.
no theyre not. if they were such a good deal we'd all have one. think about it this way the kit is $789 and comes with everything you need, where as normally good headers cost what 200-400+ depending on brand, length, and coating.

Ebay specials FTMFW...JK. Everything in that kit is knockoff parts and the turbo will probably last less than 500 miles. Just because it comes with all the parts to make it a turbo doesn't make it a good deal. The shaft probably isn't balanced, and the bearings seals, and blades are probably made from some cheap composite. A cheap BOV can actually kill your motor as well if it doesn't vent properly. If it has any play you're likely to break a blade and suck little bits of metal into your cylinders. Save your money and save up for a good kit. I prefer Hellion and I stand behind their parts 100%, but they are pricey. However the guys at Hellion will stand by their products and work completely and will do everything in their power to satisfy the customer. They have been using their own kits on their Mustangs, including defending NMRA champion John Urist's, for years. I've also used Turbonnetics(used in Hellion kits) turbos on all my vehicles and they are by far the best turbocharger on the market IMO. A Hellion kit with a T62 Turbonetics is $3,700 retail.
