Clutch Cable
Hey all, I'm just bored at work thinking about how antsy I am for summer time...anyways I remember someone telling me that changing out the clutch cable on my 95GT would give me some nice results? Anyone done it? Know about it?

RE: Clutch Cable
you will notice absolutely nothing.
but you'll be able to adjust it precisely, and you don't have to worry about the plastic quadrant breaking and smoking your clutch
not sure what kind of result you were looking for.

RE: Clutch Cable
Our cables are often the source of high pedal effort. A lot of clutch kits out there naturally make pedal effort worse, but my pedal effort is absurd - and so I chose to not only upgrade the cable, but put in a more effective adjusting mechanism as well.

RE: Clutch Cable
If the cable is lubricated and in good condition, like N bob said, you will notice nothing different.
Considering your car is a 95, that cable could be 13 years old. Any fraying or lack of lube will definately increase pedal effort.
